Washington vs LSU

Indeed!

That is all I remember and I'm sticking with it!

Finally the day Jack has been waiting for!  He is so excited!  Football at LSU is something everyone should experience.  These folks know how to throw a party.  It is HOT and HUMID today.  Why would anyone come to Louisiana in September?  Oh yes, honey, football, what else?  We arrived on campus a little after 10 after getting frustrated with trains and vanishing grocery stores.  They were on the road last night, what happened to them?  Met up with some of our new friends who were having a bachelor party.  Dad, Pierre, would not let his son take the motor home to the tailgate unless he brought him with him.  Sounds fair to me.  We ate, had a few beers, and got called “Tiger Bait” a few times.  These fans give you a little grief for being an opposing team fan and then invite you in and feed you!  We met 2 doctors who are moving to Tacoma to work for Multicare.  She went to UDUB and he was an LSU fan.  Funny.  We eventually met up with Nick and Frank at “the cleavage” between 2 Indian Mounds and again had incredible food, lots of meat, pork chops with Cajun Seasoning, Andoullie sausage, other sausage, shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, steak, etc. Nick’s friend and parents were also there.  It was great to see him, even though our time was short.  The parade came through with the players in big black buses, the tiger in his cage, the golden girls and then the humongous LSU marching band.  Very fun.   We entered the huge stadium, had 2 fighter jets fly over at the perfect time during the National Anthem and it was finally time for kick off.  The Huskies recovered a fumble on the opening kick-off and scored 3.   The fun continued until the second possession of LSU and then the wheels came off the bus, the Dawgs became Tiger Bait and it was all down from then on.  We woke up from the nightmare 3 hours later and realized we had just witnessed a 41-3 ass kicking.  Oh my, how depressing.  Thank God the folks are nice or it would have been a humiliating long walk to the car.  I almost wanted to change my shirt half way through the game.  Did I mention the teams have the exact same colors?  All in all, we had a great time with no regrets in spite of the game and the heat.  Unfortunately we folks from Washington understand losing all too well.

It's great to see my boy, but the first thing he said was Mama your hair is white!
