Day
59
We
said goodbye to Tom who had to leave the house by 8 and then had a
leisurely cup of coffee and packed up for our trip across the border.
It was hard to say goodbye to these fine folks. We had such a
fabulous time and they treated us like royalty. We shared a very
special 3 days together. After hugs, we drove across the Peace
Bridge into Canada and onto the Canadian side of Niagara Falls where
the Horseshoe Falls are.

We walked around for about an hour and
enjoyed the misty waterfalls, watching people nearly as much as the
waterfalls. This appears to be a very international destination! We
finally checked out a Tim Horton's for lunch, coffee, and a treat.
Not bad. We drove into Toronto and did not hit bad traffic until the
last 5 miles. We saw this MadMax truck, not sure what it is all
about!

Who would win this road rage battle? |
We arrived at the lovely home of Katita and Geoff who are
actually putting their home up for sale on Monday after we leave.
Housing is so competitve in this neighborhood that the house is
listed for 1 week with an open house on the weekend and then bids are
accepted for one day. If they like the offer, they accept it.
Otherwise they will wait until next spring. They took us on a great tour of
Toronto and showed us several areas including around the University
and different neighborhoods including the Beach and Greek
neighborhood. Very lovely tour. Toronto will soon rival Manhattan
in its skyscrapers and vertical housing. We went out for a nice
dinner and back to their home for some blogging.
