On the road again!

Tomorrow the day arrives for us to start on our next crazy 4 month road trip!  We have been planning for months and soon set out to visit all 30 Major League Baseball Stadiums.  The car is nearly packed and we are so excited to depart.  We will gradually work our way down to Oakland Colliseum and then on to see the World Series Champions San Francisco Giants.

We will be staying with Affordable Travel Club (ATC) members in Bend and Grants Pass, Oregon; hopefully spending a night camping in the redwoods in Northern California and then again with ATC members in Santa Rosa, CA and in Oakland, California.  We will be making a side day trip to see Crater Lake which we have been trying to see for years.

On this road trip we have decided to do something fun and special.  We wanted to do something meaningful on our trip.  We have been sponsors of children in Mexico for several years with the non-profit organization Unbound.  We had the opportunity to go on a Mission Awareness trip with Unbound in November and were extremely impressed with the work they do.  We have decided to partner with Unbound to try to find sponsors for 30 children, one to represent each MLB team that we visit.  We need your help to spread the word to help us find sponsors for these kids!  If you can help sponsor or donate or simply want to view our progress,  visit our outreach page at www.unbound.org/myoutreach/JodiJackP    We are happy to report we already have 2 children sponsored and have raised over $200.00!  Thank you sponsors and donors!   2 down, 28 to go!

We are excited to meet new people through travel and the Affordable Travel Club, visit our friends and family, visit many cities we have never been to, visit many natural wonders our country has and continue to learn about our history.
