Fun in Branson

Thursday, August 23, 2012
We woke up to a fabulous breakfast of a crustless quiche, English muffins, and a cherry strudel as well as juice and coffee.  Delicious.  Sat out on the deck overlooking the water and watched the hummingbirds and the water. Jack and I headed to downtown historic Branson and went in to the 5 and 10 store.  There was so much stuff in there.  Amazing.  Lots of collectibles, toys, games.  Too bad we don’t have any room in the car.

We had lunch at the Hard Luck Diner where they actually have singing waiters and waitresses.  We heard about 6 different songs including our waitress who sang gospel music and had her CD's at our table to sell.

We went to a 3 o’clock show of Legends and saw “Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson and Elvis.”  It was actually very entertaining, quite fun, and well done.

We went back and met Betty and Greg for dinner at a little local place on Indian Point.  We got to try deep fried green beans.  Naughty but delicious.  Finally ate the rest of our meal healthy.    We then went off to another show the Hamner/Barber show which was so fun.  Barber is this incredible ventriloquist, so funny and the Hamners are a husband/wife team of illusionists.  They did all sorts of disappearing, reappearing acts as well as “birds out of hats, scarves, etc”.  Again a very entertaining show.
