We went to The Yard House where they had over 100 craft beers on tap! The Yard House is very near the riverfront Great American Ballpark where the Cincinnati Reds were hosting the Detroit Tigers.

After checking this out from multiple locations, I am sure the All Star flower bed will only be seen clearly from the air. I was on the bridge for this shot and got up next to it and couldn't read it at all. |
There were a lot of fans from both clubs here but ominous clouds in the sky. The field was covered when we got there, but the grounds crew is capable of taking it off quickly and efficiently.
We saw the kids park area and the steamboat feature and Mr. Red who the mustaches all over town pay tribute to. After the singing of the National Anthem, an eagle flew in from center field and landed on it's trainers arm, standing on the pitcher's mound. I was so mesmerized by this huge amazing bird, I forgot to snap the photo until it was too late. I bet we will see it at the All-Star Game,so pay attention! He is really cool!

Power Stacks |
We watched a good game into the 6
th inning. The clouds kept getting darker. Cincinnati was up 2-0 through 5. In the 6
th Detroit hit a 3 run home run and then the rain came down in a fury. There was an hour and 15 minute rain delay while it poured. The Reds tied the game in the bottom of the 6
th after the delay and both teams scored 1 run in the 8
th. The game went into extra innings and the Reds finally defeated the Tigers 8-4 with a walk-off grand slam by Todd Frazier, his 2
nd home run of the day.

Power stacks blow when the Reds make a great play or make a big hit. |
