We felt very fortunate that King 5 News was interested in interviewing us about Unbound and our Baseball Road trip. We visited all 30 MLB ballparks and attempted to find sponsors for 30 children. We are happy to report that we have now met half our goal of 15 children and are still hoping for a few more. We know that we at least raised awareness of this very worthy charitable sponsorship organization, Unbound and hoping that will continue to bring potential sponsors to their website. Before the interview, we had 13 sponsors and would like to thank King 5 and Ted Land for taking the time and energy to give us a voice.
We are happy to report that Wilson from Guatemala has been sponsored from my wonderful hairdresser Zari and her husband. Wilson has goals to become a professional and now with their sponsorship, that may become a reality! Zari hopes to go to Guatemala someday to meet him!
We are also happy to report that a dear friend from PT school, Debbie and her daughter Katie have sponsored Carlos, also from Guatemala. We truly celebrated that day, as Carlos is one of 7 children who live with their parents in a stick house with a tarp roof. They get water from the community well and cook over firewood. What a difference their sponsorship and friendship can make.
