Day
56
We
leisurely made our way to Buffalo along Highway 20 which is home to
many quaint and lovely towns, rural areas with rolling hills and
farms. Upstate New York is lush and green this time of year and very
beautiful. It is like a different country from New York City and
apparently sparsely populated. We drove along the very top of a few
of the Finger Lakes which are home to wineries and lovely scenery.
We are again sorry we don't have more time to explored this area.

We
drove through Seneca Falls and were going to stop and see the
National Historic sight dedicated to Women's Rights but found our way
past it before we realized it and decided to move on. We arrived in
Buffalo and went to our friends we met in Germany in December, Tom
and Sue. They live on a beautiful forested lot at the very end of
the street and have 7 acres of land. They fed us dinner and then
took us on a drive around Buffalo seeing the windmills, the grain
elevators, some of the historic buildings, their super Coca Cola
minor league baseball stadium, the Cheerios factory (we could smell them roasting), Larkin Square with Tuesday foodtrucks and band, and the waterfront. It was a great
introduction to Buffalo.
